Company Overview:

Talwa HR Solutions is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients for the below position. Our client is a licensed financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Liberia with operations spanning over 20 countries worldwide, including but not limited to Nigeria, Canada, and Sierra Leone.

Overview & Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency of daily business operations, ensuring seamless execution of financial transactions, compliance with regulations, and process optimization. This role is best suited for a highly organized individual with experience in fintech, banking, or financial services.

The candidate will oversee the company’s financial service operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and process optimization. This position requires strong leadership in financial service delivery, remittance operations, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of remittances, payments, and currency exchange.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize transaction processing workflows to reduce errors and improve service speed.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between departments, including finance, customer service, and compliance.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations set by the Central Bank of Liberia.
  • Maintain accurate reports and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
  • Oversee fraud detection, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies, and KYC (Know Your Customer) protocols.
  • Manage financial audits, operational risks, and reporting requirements. 

3. Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance productivity.
  • Implement best practices for risk management and fraud prevention.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and train operational staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company policies.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes accountability and innovation.
  • Track operational KPIs, generate reports, and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for service inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.

5. Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and partners to support operational objectives. 
  • Represent the company in industry-related engagements and meetings.

6. Reporting & Analytics: 

  • Monitor key operational metrics and provide insights to the executive team.
  • Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. (MBA is an advantage).
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, preferably within fintech, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Liberia.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and optimize business processes. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

  • Compliance-Focused: Deep understanding of AML, KYC, and regulatory frameworks in Sierra Leone’s financial industry.
