The Group currently has about 65 direct and indirect employees and has created and/or facilitated the creation of about 375 jobs since its inception in 2023 through our HR Consulting Firm and value chain.
Overview & Description:
The Resource Mobilization and Partnership Trainee plays a pivotal role in assisting in identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that will support the company’s growth and financial sustainability. This role includes assisting in securing funding, forming alliances, and developing resource mobilization strategies to help the holding company expand its portfolio across various sectors and industries. This program offers an excellent opportunity to develop business development skills, gain industry knowledge, and contribute to real-world projects while receiving guidance from experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, partnerships, and products or services, and provide such information to the Director for prompt execution.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to expand TALWA Group’s business footprint locally and, where applicable, internationally.
- Support in negotiations with potential clients and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
2. Partnership Development:
- Assist in identifying and cultivating relationships with strategic partners, including corporations, NGOs, government agencies, and international organizations.
- Develop partnerships that create synergies across the company’s business units and contribute to shared goals.
- Manage and nurture existing partnerships, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term sustainability.
- Represent the holding company in external meetings, conferences, and networking events to build visibility and attract new partners.
3. Resource Mobilization:
- Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy to secure funding from diverse sources, including investors, grants, and donors.
- Research and identify funding opportunities, including venture capital, angel investors, grants, and philanthropic contributions.
- Assist in preparing business/project proposals, pitches, and presentations to attract potential funders and investors.
- Support in negotiation to close funding deals that align with the company’s growth goals.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for external stakeholders, maintaining open and transparent communication.
- Build strong relationships with potential investors, donors, and partners by understanding their needs and aligning their interests with the company’s vision.
- Ensure the fulfillment of partnership agreements, including the delivery of reports, updates, and performance metrics as required.
5. Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
- Support in the development of funding proposals, including grant applications, concept notes, and investor decks.
- Work with internal teams to gather the necessary data, financials, and program information to create compelling proposals.
- Track grant and funding deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required documents.
6. Teamwork:
- Demonstrate team spirit and contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to achieving business development, marketing, and partnership goals.
- Mentor and develop internal talent, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Be between the ages of 18- 30 years at the time of application
- Have a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Recent graduate of not more than 2 years
- Good communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Experience working with startups or holding companies is a plus.
